A View of Malvan

Rock Garden

The Rock garden is situated near the Arase Mahal, on the rocky shore of Malvan. It is a beautifully built garden overlooking the Chivla beach.

Rameshwar Temple

Located in the state of Tamil Nadu, the Rameshwar Temple is a magnificent shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Being one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, it is a highly revered temple among the devotees. This temple consists of the longest corridor among all the Hindu temples in the country. The outer surface of the temple is covered in very delicate and intricate carvings, which surely add another dimension to the experience of this temple. An excellent example of meticulous engineering, the symmetry, and design of the temple is magnificent.

Snorkeling

Snorkeling to see coral reefs is another popular activity to do here. On the outer side of the fort walls, one can see wonderful live coral reefs and marine life while snorkeling.

Shri Wageshwar Temple

Shri Wageshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to a local legend, a mariner found a Shivalinga while angling. A few days later, the area where the Shivalinga was found was raised and the land was exposed. The locals thus decided to build a temple and preserve the ecology of the region which often had tigers visiting. Though several tigers were spotted, they never attacked the humans. Hence, the name Wageshwar Temple.

Vengurla Malvan Beach

Vengurla Malvan Beach is another gem in Malvan. The beautiful beach, explored by few, offers a serene atmosphere with hills covered with palm, coconut, cashew and mango trees surrounding a part of the long stretch of the golden shoreline. The beach has also witnessed several historic events including attacks in the 19th century and is considered a site of historic importance in the country.
